The position of our collegium leader is a position of the Pater Patrum. I do not hold this position, ie this position is vacant. On site I`m titled as the collegium leader, jast because I created this collegium - sent the application for registration of Community - that is technical feature. We need to hold elections in accordance with the charter of the college to opredilit with those who will take leadership positions in college.

Very good idea for elections! In my humble opinion I would like to suggest two leaders for Collegium (two are better than one).
BTW - in current situation I do not think that there is any person who can be estabilished as PATER PATRUM (this should to be a person who passed through all the levels of Mithraic initiation - it tooks min 7 years).
I think that Titus Flavius Severus and Marcus Valerius Corvus are good candidates for position of two leaders of the Collegium. Both of them have long time experience with Mithraic cult.

Is there an application that one fills out or do we simply nominate somebody or ourselves for the position?

What about qualifications such as:

What things have they have done in their personal life outside of this forum that shows that they are worthy to hold the position?
How have they promoted the faith?
What knowledge and or ideas can they bring to increase the faith?
What can or will they do the keep the faith true to its past, but to also make it relevant to the modern world and build a foundation for it to thrive in the future?

These are just some ideas. If anyone has any others feel free to share.

To be honest I started to think to give up - I do not see any interest about Mithraism in our Republic. (I hope I am wrong)

You are mistaken, my dear friend. First, the consular edict does not apply to religious collegia. So there is no need to hold elections. Secondly, as has been said, the activity on the forum - it is only the appearance of activity. What we bring weekly if there will 50 posts in this section of the forum? Probably nothing ... well, except that the message counter. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, this "someone" always can place them in this section of the forum, but questions and suggestions are not generated at the request of someone outside (including administration), they are due to the needs of people.

And since we're talking about it ... As long as one thinks that the posts on the forum indicate activity, someone else, such as Mithraists of Sarmatia, productive work, wasting money, time and energy to create a information resource for our colleagium wich, we hope, will consolidate a significant amount of Mithraists from around the world.

We are now completing work on the technical part of the site. I and some of my friends Mithraists working on articles.

Although I wanted to tell about it later, however, even now I can quite officially declare that we are looking for people - Mithraists who are willing to develop other language section of the site (as you know, we, the Sarmatians, the Russian-speaking). If anyone is interested, you are ready to consider the candidacy ... And believe me, it is more important to Mithraism, than all these "mock" elections.

I regret to inform you that it does apply to religious collegia, unless said religious collegium applied to Praetores, Consules, or the Senate for exemption from this edict. Neither of which happened. So Laterensis is correct, you do need the two leaders as per the edict.
