An introduction

I am new to the group here, and I am excited that we have a book area!

I am a middle/high school librarian technician. I do all the daily library tasks, cataloging, book repair, whatnot. So yes, I love books!

I know this question has been thrown about before, but, what are you reading? What's the last book that you just could not put down?

In my line of work, I read a lot of Young Adult books, to preview them for content to see how grade appropriate they are. I also love non-fiction, Roman history, philosophy, all sorts. What kind of genres do you like?

I'd love to see this become an active board again. Hopefully, we can do just that!

I've been reading recently older books. It has been pretty therapeutic in a way. As of now I'm reading four at the same time choosing to continue one or the other depending on my mood. They are:

The Iliad, by Homer
Politics, by Aristotle
Stories of Charlemagne and the Twelve Peers of France, compiled by Rev. A.J. Church
At the Mountains of Madness, by H.P. Lovecraft.

All of these are phenomenal books that I deeply recommend.

Currently, I am reading the Metamorphoses, and it was a good recommendation!

Also on tap, a YA book about OCD called Every Last Word, by Tamera Ireland Stone. So far, it's pretty decent. The girl has Pure-Obsessional OCD, so it says, but it's not fitting with the narrative. She's got some compulsions.

Then my Visual Reference Guide to Philosophy, and the Intro to Roman Religion by Scheid.
