STRATAGEMS -- FRONTINIUS, 1, I, 11

The purpose of this colligium is to establish a group for those citizens of the republic that are currently serving or have served in the uniformed military service of their home country (this means real, actual military service as opposed to reenacting) for networking, socialization and brotherhood. Additionally, we understand that no organization of veterans is complete without their family members so we invite the loved ones of veterans to join and extend a welcoming hand to those that reenact the honorable and mighty legions of Rome to join our ranks. | Join at: http://romanrepublic.org/civitas/joint_ ... rani%20/40

STRATAGEMS -- FRONTINIUS, 1, I, 11

+++ Lucius Furius, having led his army into an unfavorable position, determined to conceal his anxiety, lest the other take alarm. By gradually changing his course, as though planning to attack the enemy after a wider circuit, He finally reversed his line of march, and led his army safely back without its knowing what was going on.

+++ When Metellus Pius was in Spain and was asked what he was going to do the next day, he replied,”If my tunic could tell, I would burn it.”

+++ When Marcus Licinius Crassus was asked at what time he was going to break camp, he replied: “Are you afraid you will not hear the trumpet?”
