EX DOMO PROPRAETORIS PROVINCIAE LACUUM MAGNORUM

EDICTUM PROPRAETORIS

Effective ante diem VII Id. IANVARII MMDCCLV a.u.c. (7 January 2002), I, Marcus Scipio Africanus, accept the Senate's appointment to the Propraetorship of the Provincia Lacus Magni, and issue this edict.

1. The Provincial web site shall remain: http://romanrepublic.org/lacusmagni/ On it shall be placed all provincial edicts and contact information for magistrates.
2. Piperbarbus Ullerius Venator, resident of Illinois, shall remain Legatus of Lacus Magni Occidentalis (Western Regio), which is comprised of the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. He shall serve as a local contact for citizens in that Region, to preside at local events, and to perform administrative tasks for the province as a whole.
3. Marcus Bianchius Antonius, resident of Ohio, shall be appointed Legatus of Lacus Magni Orientalis (Eastern Regio), which is comprised of the states of Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. He shall serve as a local contact for citizens in that Region, to preside at local events, and to perform administrative tasks for the province as a whole.
4. The former Propraetor, Marcus Octavius Germanicus, shall be appointed Retiarus.
5. Prima Fabia Drusila shall be appointed Scriba Propraetoris
6. The mailing list GreatLakesNovaRoma@egroups.com, established by a former propraetor, is still to be considered the official and preferred channel for provincial communications. All provincial Magistrates shall have moderator powers.
