Latin Resources

L. Livius mag. omnibus sociis sal.

I was poking around the Republic's bibliotheca, when I came across this page: Latin Resources (Roman Republic). At the time it bore only the tantalizing words "Under construction." I've since added a few external hyperlinks, but this seems like a page our College should take charge of. Any thoughts from the socii about what such a page should offer?

Valete.

L. Horatia Adamas L. Livio Senecæ magistro et collegæ omnibusque S.P.D.

Well, links to ALF, SLEU, Melissa, the Morgan Lexicon now being handled by Patricius Oenus (Patrick Owen[s], who spoke at the ALF convention from which I recently returned), YLE radio, GLL, vRoma, Perseus, an index of circuli, selected readings by Terentius, Milena, Avitus, W. Stroh, etc., and possibly to Ascanius, would make a good start. I suspect that the conventicula, rusticationes, septimanæ Latinæ, etc., are over for this year, but the basic URLs should make a good addition for the future.

I see you have gotten some of these, and some others (Wheelock, Reggie Foster) onsite…I think Radio Bremen also has news, but less frequently than in the past.

Vale, et valete!

Sal.

Great initiative. Such projects are very much needed from our collegia.

I hope the aediles, praetores or consules provide this Collegium denarii for its efforts in curating this important part of the website with their expertise.

Bravo!

L. Livius mag. omnibus sodalis sal.

Thank you for the suggestions! I've been adding the best of them to the page. If anything else strikes you, please post it here in the future.

Brute, thank you for your kind recognition. Manus multae levius laborant.

P. Sextius Laevus L. Horatiae Adamanti L. Livio Senecae magistris et collegæ omnibusque S.P.D.

One more addition which will provide all forms, declension/conjugation, of any form of a Latin word:
https://www.nihilscio.it/Manuali/Lingua%20latina/Verbi/Coniugazione_latino.asp?.
Also great for finding the dative & vocative of names that William Whitaker's Words does not.

There are many other aspects of this site worth exploring.
